What is Soy Wax?

Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. The hydrogenation process converts some of the fatty acids in the oil from unsaturated to saturated. This process dramatically alters the melting point of the oil, making it a solid at room temperature. 

What are the advantages of melting soy wax?

Soy's greatest advantage is that it is completely renewable. While the global reserves of oil shrink and paraffin prices increase, the only limit to the soy supply is how much we choose to grow. The soy wax we purchase was most likely in the ground less than a year ago. 

Chances are that same field is growing more soy for candles to be made in the future! Soy candles/wax melts will burn cleanly and slowly, a major benefit. While the performance and beauty of soy candles speak for themselves, soy wax is truly a dream. Our soy wax and candles are eco-friendly, renewable, American grown, sustainable.

How do I use your wax melts?

Simple! You place a small piece of the wax melts onto your wax warmer. Our wax is compatible with a VARIETY of warmers (Scentsy Warmers, Glade Warmers, Candle Warmers etc). Wax Melts are a GREAT way to make your home or any space (small or large) smell absolutely amazing WITHOUT lighting a candle! Since we use pure vegan soy wax, our wax melts are completely safe to melt around young children and pets. We never use paraffin wax which is derived from Petroleum Byproducts. Our Soy Wax is derived from organic Soy Beans, absolutely chemical free (Non GMO, No Phthalates or Parabens).  
 

What is a Wax Warmer?

Wax Warmers are devices to melt scented wax and they hold a pool of warm liquid wax. Wax Warmers come in all shapes, materials and sizes such as; Ceramic, Metal or a Glass dish. Wax Warmers vary in price and you can find them online or in stores such as Wax-Mart. Wax Warmers plug directly into a wall outlet.     

There are 3 popular types of Wax Warmers (Wickless Candles)

Hot Plate Warmer- Uses an electric element to heat the actual wax warmer dish that holds the wax. Each hot plate warmer ranges in wattage and temperature. I prefer the GLADE Wax Warmers from Wal-Mart. They heat our wax at the perfect temperature, letting you enjoy the smell of wax much more!    

Bulb Warmer - This Wax Warmer uses a light bulb to heat the wax warmer dish. Heat rising from the bulb warms the dish and the wax melts. These warmers are very pretty however, at times they do not heat up as much as a hot plate wax warmer will.      

Tealight Warmer - These are wax warmers with a tea light candle that is used to heat the wax dish. These warmers are best for small areas such as bath rooms or laundry rooms as they don't heat up as much as hot plates or light bulb warmers.  Please keep in mind that ANY type of wax warmer/wickless candle should be placed in a safe spot away from children and pets who make pull on the cord.
